RUSHDEN MISSION BAND

We are pleased to have so many people who follow the band and support us at the various concerts
that we play at each year. In response to this amazing support, we have set up the Friends of RMB
scheme where our supporters are better able to keep up to date with what is going on with the band
and recieve concessionary rates to RMB promoted events.

Brass bands face an up-hill struggle in order to purchase music and keep their instruments in good
working order. For example, one set of sheet music will cost up to £50 and some instruments cost
up to £4,500 each. Most brass bands can off-set some of these costs by applying for Lottery Funding.
However, as the RMB is proudly associated with the Rushden Mission Church, we are unable to
access any of this funding and so have to fund much of our activity through our own events,
performance fees and donations.


The Friends of RMB is a way for our supporters to donate to the RMB in a regular and organised way. It also helps the Mission Band to budget more effectively. In order to join the scheme we ask for a minimum donation of £10 per year. For this, you will recieve:

• Concessionary rates to all RMB promoted events
• A copy of all our Newsletters and Event Listings
• Full access to RMB rehearsal nights - Thursday 7.30pm at Rushden Mission Church
